South Korean Embassy in the Philippines released yesterday, January 30, 2024, the Simplification of Visa Application Documents. In this program, certain financial documents can be omitted if you have required documents being asked by the embassy.
They released the guidelines for the following:
- Elected Politicians
- Government Officials
- Professional License Holders
- BDO Credit Card Holders
We will be focusing on number 4. For BDO credit cards, not all BDO credit cards are qualified for the simplification program. Only BDO Gold and BDO Elite Credit Cards are in this program. Here is the list of cards:
A. BDO Gold
- Mastercard Gold Credit Card
- Visa Gold Credit Card
- JCB Gold Credit Card
- UnionPay Gold Credit Card
- Diners Club International
- American Express® Cashback Credit Card
- American Express® Explorer™ Credit Card
B. BDO Elite
- Mastercard Titanium, Platinum, and World Elite Credit Card
- Visa Platinum Credit Card
- JCB Platinum Credit Card
- UnionPay Diamond Credit Card
- Diners Club Premiere Credit Card
- American Express® Platinum Credit Card
- American Express® International Dollar Charge Cards (Platinum, Gold & Green)
If you have one of those cards mentioned above, all you need to submit concerning your financial capacity are the following:
- Certificate of Employment (CoE)
- Copy of Credit Card (photocopy of front only)
- Latest 3 months' Monthly Billing Statements
You're not required to submit the Bank Statements, Bank Certificate, and ITR. Even though you don't need to submit those mentioned financial documents you may submit them if you want. Please note that you need to submit the other requirements such as an application form.
