Locally-Made Nama Chocolate For You.

Dark Chocolate has many benefits because it is a rich source of antioxidants and minerals.  The following are some proven benefits of dark chocolate:
  1. It contains minerals such as iron, magnesium, copper, manganese, potassium.  So it is very nutritious.
  2. It is a rich source of antioxidants.
  3. It can improve blood flow and lower blood pressure.
  4. Raise the HDL (good cholesterol) and prevent LDL (bad cholesterol) to be oxidized hence may reduce the risk of having heart disease.
  5. It can improve brain function due to caffeine.
Those are the reasons why I always eat a moderate amount of dark chocolate as part of my diet.  The key term is moderate because having too much is also bad for our health.

There are too many brands of dark chocolates you can find in the market but I found something new and added it on my list. It is the nama chocolate made by Dark.  Dark is a dessert shop located in Alabang with a tagline of "When Bitter and Sweet Collide"  My sister introduced this to me and bought two boxes for myself to try.

What is Nama Chocolate?
Nama chocolate is made from a mix of melted cacao and fresh cream. As the mixture solidifies, the block of chocolate is cut into pieces and sprinkled with cocoa powder on top.

Nama Chocolate by Dark

Nama chocolate by Dark reminded me of the Royce' sChocolate when I had the first bite of it.  It was smooth in the inside and melted perfectly in my mouth. The sweetness and bitterness were perfect and not empowering each other.  Surprisingly,   I already consumed half of the box when I realized it.  I was really enjoying it.

Nama chocolate by Dark is very affordable and it costs only PHP 130 per box.  It is locally made.  As of this writing, they are not offering nama chocolate with flavors.  I hope soon they will make one.  I love nama chocolate with liquor flavor (for adults only).
