After a few days exploring Fukuoka and Nagasaki, I arrived in Osaka ready for new adventures. Today was all about stunning views and soul-warming ramen — the perfect combination for any trip to Kansai!
🌆 Umeda Sky Building Observation Deck
My first stop was the Umeda Sky Building, one of Osaka’s most iconic modern landmarks. Rising 173 meters into the sky, it’s famous for its unique “floating garden” observatory that connects two towers at the top.
I booked my ticket in advance via Klook, which was super convenient and saved me time queuing. If you’re planning to visit, I definitely recommend buying tickets online — it’s quick, easy, and often a bit cheaper.
Once I got up to the observation deck, I was blown away by the 360-degree panoramic views of Osaka’s skyline. From up there, you can see all the way to Awaji Island on a clear day. I spent some time just walking around the open-air deck, taking photos and soaking in the scenery. It’s a must-visit spot whether you come in the day or at night when the city lights sparkle.
🍜 Ramen at Kama Kura, Shinsaibashi
After the Sky Building, I took the subway to Shinsaibashi, Osaka’s famous shopping and entertainment district. All that sightseeing worked up an appetite, so I headed to Kama Kura Ramen, located here on Google Maps:
Kama Kura is known for their light, clear broth and perfectly cooked noodles. It was a nice change from the heavier tonkotsu ramen I’d been eating in Fukuoka. The shop had a relaxed vibe, and the service was fast. Nothing feels better than a comforting bowl of ramen after a long day exploring.
✨ Day 5 Recap:
From soaring views over Osaka to a warm meal in the heart of Shinsaibashi, Day 5 was the perfect mix of sightseeing and satisfying food. Osaka has so much energy and character — every corner feels alive.
