UV Lamp, What It does?

Nowadays, we will do measures to protect ourselves against the coronavirus and other pathogens that can harm our bodies.  The most common way is proper handwashing or disinfecting our hands using 70% alcohol.  For inanimate objects, we also alcoholize them.  But how we can disinfect or sterilize the objects which are not allowed to get wet or alcoholize such as money, computer, keyboard, etc?  This is where UV (ultraviolet) Lamp will come in. Most of the clinics are now using a UV lamp to sterilize the whole room which is sometimes as big as an electric fan.  There are 3 UV spectrums fo UV,  UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C.  Among those three, the UV-C is the most effective one against SARS-CoV-2 which has 200 to 280 nanometers.  UV-C can alter the DNA or RNA of the bacteria or viruses, and thus preventing them to replicate.

As UV lamp is starting to gain attention because of its effectiveness, it also becomes very handy that you can even put it in your pocket or store it in your bag.  Biocare Philippines offers this type of UV lamp.  It is a UV-C type with nanometer of 265-280.  I have their UV lamp and I'm using it in sterilizing some of my most used gadgets
