Singapore Episode 3: Universal Studios and Sentosa.. A Happy Place and What We Should Do

We woke up early on our 3rd day, as we were heading to Universal Studios.

Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore is the first and only Universal Studios theme park in Southeast Asia.  Since there is no Visa for Philippine Passport holder, this is  a go to place to experience Universal Studios.

All the way from Aljunied we rode the MRT to Harbour Front MRT Station to reach the Vivo City. At the level 3 of Vivo City, we lined up to get the ticket for Sentosa Monotrail the would lead us to Sentosa.  It was already a long queue and costed 4 SGD each.

It was holiday, May 1, when went there. There were already to many people roaming around.  We just scanned the discounted voucher we bought at Klook upon entering the Universal Studios.  It was a very smooth process.  Book here

The USS is divided to 7 parts, Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away, and Madagascar.  We were able to visit the seven areas but unfortunately were not able to ride all the rides.  It took more than an hour to get to each ride, and it was very hot so we could not wait that long.  We were only able to have 3 rides (Canopy Flyer, Transformer,Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase) and 1 show (Sesame Street Show). We just enjoyed the instagrammable scenes.  If you want to enjoy much of the rides, I highly suggest to buy Universal Express Pass.  This will provide easy access to 17 rides including the famous Transformer.

Far Far Away

We had our late lunch at Discovery Food Court.  There is a big skeleton of T-rex in the middle of food court that will remind you of Jurassic Park.

Sky Luge

After going around the USS and having enough photos, we went to Beach station for our Sky Luge. We rode the Sentosa monotrail going there, and it was free.  Sky Luge is a ride going down from the top of the hill but in order to get to the top you need first to ride the cable car.  We presented our klook voucher to the booth, and gave us 2 access for sky luge and cable car for way up.  It was very thrilling going up to the hill because our feet were dangling above the ground. When we were already at our kart, there were few instructions on how to run the kart.  Going down was so much fun.  My sister and I had a race to the finish line.

Southernmost Point of Continental Asia

After the thrilling race, we walked towards the Palawan beach to go to the "Southernmost Point of Continental Asia".  It is an islet connected by suspension bridge.    It was a bit of a long walk but the sound of the waves was relaxing.  It was just a quick visit to the area as it was already dark.  This was the final stop of the day as we're leaving on the next day.
